Directed by Real Time with Bill Maher writer Adam Felber and hosted by popular TikTok sensation Hazel Thayer, the six-episode season satirically cuts through the BS and offers tangible solutions…and maybe even a dose of confidence in a better future.

Pique Action offers an alternative to two extremes within climate-related discourse, both of which can lead to inaction: the feelings of anxious, helpless nihilism inadvertently triggered by climate coverage aiming to scare people into action (aka climate doom), and the comfortable apathy that results from exaggerating the possibilities of technology to reverse climate change (aka “hopium”). “We’re all tired of seeing polar bears float out to sea, and melting glaciers, and flooding and fires - and it’s not galvanizing anyone,” Pastor said. “We believe that telling human stories of innovation and solutions can help change the overall narrative.”

Pathfinder is a new newsletter uplifting good climate stories written by our resident sustainability scientist, Alaina Wood. Using her experience as a science communicator in both business and bureaucracy, Alaina is compiling the most important weekly stories in climate.

Climate solutions media company Pique Action today announced the close of a $1 million pre-seed fundraising round. Pique aims to change the conversation around climate by producing and distributing content that elevates solutions and drives action. The fundraise was led by the global climate venture capital firm Amasia, with participation from Baruch Future Ventures and Fairbridge Park.
